The Omegle Alternative That Does It Better
Random video chat with one stranger on screen, free to start, and sign-up only after a few chats.
Start video chatWhat people actually mean by an Omegle alternative
An Omegle alternative is any site that puts a stranger in front of you the instant you press start. No form stands in the way. Omegle passed that test for fourteen years, and every site that borrows the name gets measured against it.
We built Omegle Alternative Live (OAL) to pass the same test. Most sites that borrow the name bolt on things Omegle never had. Here is where OAL stands next to them.

Omegle 1v1: one person on your screen, never a room
Omegle 1v1 means a single stranger, a single screen and a Next button. Every match here works that way. There is no group room and no audience. Your match sees you, and nobody else does.
- Press start. A match needs your camera live, and that permission is asked once.
- We match you with one person from whoever is online right then.
- Talk, or hit Next and the next person appears.
Why is this platform better than Omegle
OAL is better than Omegle in the one place Omegle failed: what happens after a bad chat. On Omegle a report went somewhere you could not see. Here a report reaches our moderation team with what they need to act on. Whoever you reported leaves your screen at once.
We do not watch live chats, and no software screens them either. What you two say stays with you two. Moderation runs on reports, review, and removal, in that order.
Everyone here is 18 or older, checked before anyone gets a first match.
Anonymous video chat with strangers, nothing on file
Video chat with strangers on Omegle Alternative Live starts without a profile, a photo, or a real name. The person you meet gets your video feed and the words you type, nothing beyond that. That is your entire footprint.
A finished chat leaves nothing behind. We keep nothing from a session unless a report was filed, and then only the evidence a review requires. Our privacy policy covers how long that evidence is held.
Random video chat on any device, no download
Random video chat here loads in a browser tab, phone or desktop, with nothing installed. Open the site, press start, and the same matching runs on both. Typing is available next to the video for the moments when speaking is awkward.
Start video chatQuestions about this Omegle alternative
Is Omegle Alternative Live free?
Yes, Omegle Alternative Live is free at the start, and premium extras never decide whether a chat happens.
Is Omegle back?
No, Omegle shut for good in November 2023 and has not returned. This site runs on the same format Omegle used and adds a review of every report.
Is this the same site as Omegle?
Omegle Alternative Live has no connection to Omegle or its former owner. We share the format, a random stranger per match, and nothing else.
What does 1v1 mean on this site?
1v1 here means every chat is you and one other person. There are no rooms to join and no viewers watching from the side.
Is there anything to download?
Nothing needs downloading, because Omegle Alternative Live runs in whatever browser you already use. The site opens like any web page, and start is one press away.
Is an account required?
An account on Omegle Alternative Live only comes into play after a handful of chats. Until then, start is all it takes.
What happens after a report is filed?
A report ends that chat at once and goes straight to our moderation team. Our moderators review it and remove the person when the report stands up.
Can I find the same person again?
You can find the same person again only if you swapped a way to reconnect during the chat. Matching is random, so pressing Next means they are gone.
